[ACTUALITÉ] LA LISTE DES GAGNANTS DES NAACP AWARDS 2013

La cérémonie des NAACP Image Awards édition 2013 s’est déroulée le 1er Février à Los Angeles. Kerry Washington a dominé la soirée en remportant trois trophées. Les autres grandes gagnantes sont les deux sœurs Erica et Tina Atkins, qui forment le groupe Mary Mary et Whitney Houston (qu’elle repose en paix).

Pour l’anecdote, Viola Davis, gagnante du prix de la meilleure actrice avec l’oeuvre cinématographique « Won’t back Down », ne s’est pas présentée donc Samuel L. Jackson a invité Quvenzhané Wallis (perdante dans cette catégorie) à accepter le prix au nom de Viola !

La National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (en français : association nationale pour l’avancement des gens de couleur), en général désignée par son sigle NAACP, est une organisation américaine de défense des droits civiques. Elle a été fondée en 1909 à partir du Niagara Movement, qui avait été créé en 1905 par W. E. B. Du Bois, rapporte Wikipedia.

Les NAACP Image Award récompensent les meilleurs professionnels du divertissement (cinéma, télévision,…) de la communauté afro-américaine. Cette cérémonie existe depuis 1967.
